Amazing Woman's Day 2008

Our History

The celebration of the Amazing Woman's Day was first conceived nearly a decade ago by speaker and author Marsh Engle. As the activities, programs and outreach of the Amazing Woman initiative has expanded over the years, the core mission remained the same:

To serve as a central uniting place where women gather together

to learn, identify opportunities, and create positive change in their lives,

in their businesses and in their communities.

With dynamic speakers and a balance of professional and social settings, Amazing Woman's Day provides women the opportunity to

deepen their web of connection, share resources and

develop new cooperative business opportunities.

In March, 2001 women throughout the nation joined to establish the first Amazing Woman’s Day in ten cities throughout the United States.

Amazing Woman's Day is a day of celebrating the

signature strengths of every woman.

It is a movement of inspired action.

To mark the celebration, over 1,000 speakers, media personalities, well-being experts and authors volunteered their time to honor women from all walks of life. Participants included those from life coaching communities and more. In our first year, the event was underwritten by GENERAL MILLS Harmony Cereal.

In 2002 the celebration grew to 50 cities nationwide and was hosted in BORDERS BOOKSTORES. Founder Marsh Engle was honored with a U.S. Congressional Proclamation for her work establishing Amazing Woman’s Day as a nationwide initiative designed to celebrate the creativity of women everywhere. Since that time, the Amazing Woman's Day movement has served to inspire thousands across the nation and the world.
